139 birth anniversary of Sri Nalwadi Krishna Raja Wadiyar the erstwhile ruler of Mysore and the World Environment Day was celebrated on Monday June 5th 2023 at Sri Chamarajendra School for Excellence.

Vice president Dr. Bharathi Sridhar Raj Urs and member Sri B P Balachandra Urs graced the occasion and offered floral tributes to the Portrait.

Dr. Bharati madam addressed the crowd about importance of the day and said it's an occasion for us to remember Sri Nalwadi krishnaraja Wadiyar and honour his memory in the view of development of the state witnessed during his visionary rule.

Madam also reminded us that the school was established in 1857 by H H Sri Chamarajendra Wadiyar X, father of H H Sri Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar. Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraj Wadiyar also visited the school in 1912 for the Annual Day function. She also said that the king ushered that the child's development not only lies in physical but also through mental development.  It is very important for a child to lead a disciplined life.

We also got to know how aesthetic the king was. He believed the rose looks more beautiful in plant than in hand.

Later the program was followed by watering the floral and ayurvedic plants brought by the students accompanied by the parents.

The program ended with vote of thanks.

ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ನಗರಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಶ್ರೀ ಚಾಮರಾಜೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಫಾರ್ ಎಕ್ಸೆಲೆನ್ಸ್ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ 05.06.2023 ನೇ ಸೋಮವಾರದಂದು ಮಹಾರಾಜಾ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಲ್ವಡಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ರವರ 139ನೇ ಜನ್ಮದಿನೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಹಾಗು ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಸರಳ ಹಾಗು ಅರ್ಥಗರ್ಭಿತವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಲ್ವಡಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಪಾರ್ಚನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಶಾಲೆಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ. ಭಾರತಿ ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ ರಾಜ್ ಅರಸ್ ರವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ "ಈ ಶಾಲೆಯು ಕ್ರಿ. ಶ. 1857 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತನೇ ಶ್ರೀ ಚಾಮರಾಜೇಂದ್ರ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಥಮವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಅವರ ಸುಪುತ್ರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಲ್ವಡಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ಈ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದರು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಪಾರವಾದ ವ್ಯಾಮೋಹವು ಅವರ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು, ಕೆಂಪು ಗುಲಾಬಿ ಹೂಗಳೆಂದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿ" ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಲ್ವಡಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ಈ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 1912 ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಈ ಶಾಲೆಯು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಬೌದ್ಧಿಕ ಬೆಳೆವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಹಾಗು ದೈಹಿಕ ಬೆಳೆವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಸಃಸ್ವಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಡಾ. ಭಾರತಿ ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ ರಾಜ್ ಅರಸ್ ರವರು ಶ್ರೀ ನಾಲ್ವಡಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ರನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಔಚಿತ್ಯಪೂರ್ಣವಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಂದ ಔಷಧೀಯ ಸಸ್ಯಗಳು ಹಾಗು ವಿವಿಧ ರೀತಿಯ ಹೂ ಗಿಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಪೋಷಕರನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲರು ನೀರೆರೆಯುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಬಿ ಪಿ ಬಾಲಚಂದ್ರ ಅರಸ್, ಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಚಾಮರ ಅರಸು ಎಜುಕೇಶನ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ನ ಸದಸ್ಯರು, ಹಾಗು ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಶ್ರೀವತ್ಸ ಎನ್ ರವರು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗ ಹಾಗು ಪೋಷಕರು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾದರು.
